Former Minister Chief Capt. Amarinder Singh Thursday promised a paradigm shift in the State of agriculture and industrial policy to stimulate the economy. Speaking form the stage of the rally to the Baisakhi Mela here, he spoke a boost to the peasantry.

Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal and MLA Bikramjit Singh Majithia, he said that they were "choran di toil (band of thieves)".

He referred to the problem of cancer in the region and has promised a "foolproof" health system

Jagmeet, in his speech, urged voters to make the next CM Amarnider. The endorsement is important because the practice of the Congress was not name candidate a CM. Punjab is expected to go to the polls in 10 months.

On a request by Talwandi Sabo MLA Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu, Amarinder also promised that the notification of acquisition of 1.36 lakh acres in 41 villages in the region would be reversed if and when the Congress came to power.

Among those present Amarinder included close collaborator Bharat Inder Singh Chahal, former MLA Arvind Khanna, former Minister and MLA Lal Singh, in addition to MEPs Gurpreet Kangar, Harminder Jassi, Makhan Singh, Ajit Inder Mofar, Ajaib Singh Bhatti and Sunil Jakhar.
